FWIW, I've gotten similar or even better track performance out of off-the-shelf DOT4 (Valvoline, Pennzoil) vs. ATE SuperBlue. But in any case, if the car's not going to be tracked, brake fluid isn't likely to be an issue as long as it's reasonably fresh.

Carbotech bobcats, used Hawks and hated them on my subaru, then switched to carbo's and fell in love. I will be replacing stock with the bobcats when my oem pads are done.

I only got to put about 700 miles on the car before the brakes started to rub metal on metal.

If I only read the words in this statement, I'm lead to believe that you have killed a set of OE pads in 700 miles.

unless you're tracking the car, go with oem ap1 pads and a better brake fluid like ATE.
ATE fluid will have little to no benefit on the street, first it will probably never reach the operational limit of the dot3 fluid let alone dot4 on the street, second it cost more and require more frequent flushing. that's a waste of money right there.

try search for there

I was going to ask something similar after having my brakes fade quite scarily again tonight. The "private" road is all downhill and very twisty, all 30-130kph stuff. It may be my driving style, but i try my to brake late or aggressively or ride the brakes, but after 10 minutes the brakes get to the point where you wouldnt wanna trust them. The smell tells me theyre getting hotter than they should...
