Brake pad suggestions
 

I need to replace my brake pads but I'm unsure about what brand to get. I've always used the duralast gold pads on my civic and they work pretty well but they leave the rims looking a little dirty and I wouldn't mind tryin something new on the S. I've done some research on hawk, stoptech and some other brands but I'd like to get some oppinions on other brands from people who have actually used them. Thanks.

Are you looking for an upgrade in pad to maybe a street pad? If so, I recommend maybe going with Project Mu B-force pads or that of the Hawk HPS pad.

In comparison, the amount of brake dust will be about the same. There is maybe a bit less in the Project Mu compared to that of the Hawks. The Hawk HPS is also a little harsher on the rotor than P.Mu.

If you're looking for only a pad upgrade, I think stick with something like the HPS or the B-Force will be good. Anything high grade will most likely need a rotor upgrade as well.

if you don't track your car stick with OEM pad, the best compromise for streetability, performance and price unless you hit the track all the time(if you do, a track rotor/pad combo should be used)

not sure what exactly is a rotor upgrade by jason but have yet to see an aftermarket rotor upgrade that worth the money on the street.

In my experience, Hawk HPS were much worse than stock on the street for me, and infinitely worse on the track. Not that they're track pads, but neither are the stockers, which are at least somewhat usable at the track.

In my experience, OEM >>> HPS.

Front wheel brake dust is driving me nuts!

try using EBC brake pads... red or green stuff depending on your driving style and the both offer low dust to keep ur wheels cleaner longer :D

I want to track it a few times this summer. I take it up the canyons almost every weekend though. I've never experienced any brake fade on the oem ones. So maybe I'll just stick with them.

I've been really happen with the three different Endless pads I've used, but the price point isn't soo hot.

Porterfield R4S works good for me both street and track... i like them.....
