Buddy Club N+ Coilover question, pls help
Hi Guys,
Serious question here esp for people who have coilovers:
I'm was installing them this past weekend. Once I mounted the rear coilover in place (I'm doing rear first because I only have two jack stands), I loaded the suspension but before I began torquing down the lower bolt I noticed a GAP between the lower mount and the control arm.
A closer picture:
I contacted Buddy Club and their tech asked me to measure the width of the lower mount. I hop over to my auto parts store then local hardware store and they are out of digital calipers until a shipment in a few days. I bought these coilovers new from a vendor here on S2Ki.com.
When holding the lower mount of the stock struts to the lower mount of the coilovers, I can visually see maybe a half mm or more of difference between the two.
Has anyone experienced a gap in the area before? This does not seem normal. Will I go away once I start torquing down the bolt? Is that normal?
Please advise. I need help. My first coilover install, obviously.

How much mileage do you have on the car? Seem like your bushings may be worn and it's time to replace them with some polyeurothane ones from energy suspension or new oem ones. Do you see any cracks or is there lots of play? Regardless, seeing what year your car is I would look into replacing those as my next mod(will make the suspension feel tighter as well).

Thanks for the tip. MY00 has 52K, so not too many. I got my question answered on another forum. Found out this is normal and the gap is now gone after torquing to spec.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
