you can do both, add positive camber or negative. It depends what direction you install them. This was the conclusion I came to.

How could they slip. The allen bolts would need to fall out and then the plate would have to slide all this will being torqued down and held to the hub.

While not recommended by the guys at Buddy Club, I have run these without the plates and do track and autocross the car. They haven't slipped yet.

And as noted, it sounds like you may have installed it backwards initially.

Yes, but not backwards based on the directions!!

That is really good to know, I don't think there is an incredible amount of force on them, but it is nice to know someone else has done it with no issues.
