That was me, 40k miles, and one seal was blown on one shock. I had them all rebuilt because they offered.

Unlike you, the majority of my miles are hard miles

IMO 40,000 miles is pretty decent.
especialy if those are hard miles.
somehow i see a lot of sports coilovers or shocks give it up much quicker than OEM shoks...

40k, shit that's 2 years for me lol, if I can keep the car together. I'm the posture boy for car abuse, but I have a hell of a good time and that's what its about. 100,000 on my coilovers issue free is something to celebrate. Now watch them blow up on track day this June now that Ive opened my big mouth

Might have to upgrade to those BC Evo's on the next set

You should note the distinction between amount and rate of body roll. eg. A jacked down suspension at four corners will not roll, regardless of spring rate. All valving is not created equally. Just a thought.

OK.
but are you saying spring rates don't affect body roll? (amount or rate)

No I was getting at the fact that mis-matching spring rates and damping (which can happen easily especially with budget adjustable-damping setups) can ultimately make the car handle worse, even if it initially provides roll reduction. Certainly agree that spring rates have an affect on roll.
