D2 VS Ksport

D2 VS Ksport
Hey guys, I"m in the market of buying coil overs and being that I'm a college student I don't have $2,000plus to buy the best coils out there. I found the d2 and ksport at rather good price and basically what I'm asking is an opinion on these two and/or issues people have with any of the two. For the record I do track the car if that helps. Thank you all.

I'm pretty sure there is a reason you don't hear about people having these coilovers. If you can't afford quality coilovers then buy quality lowering springs. The OEM dampers are very good so if you buy springs made for them like Swift Spec-R, you won't ruin your suspension setup.

I recommend waiting for a used set made by a reputable company to come up for sale. Wouldn't use D2 or Ksport, even if someone paid me. I'm sure you can find a used set of Koni Yellow's, GC sleeves and Eibach springs for less than the cost of a new set of D2's or Ksports.

Again, you seem to be looking at suspension that I've never heard of anyone using, read the forums for popular setups that are tried and true.
Fortune 500 coilovers
this set has very good build quality and consistent results, its within the budget you've set and many people here on the forum use them with positive outcomes.
For the minimal cost I would suggest buying them with the available Swift Spring upgrade for maximum results.
others to consider are:
Swift Spec-R lowering springs on OEM Dampers
Koni Yellows with Ground Controls
Buddy Club N+
Tien Flex
Bilstine PSS9
All these here on the list are very commonly used solutions that won't give you any issues.

I've first hand had both the Apexi EXV and Fortune 500. I actually worked with Fortune and had the very first s2000 set on my old car. Both of them were running 12k springs front and rear and the Fortunes were a noticeable improvement. Price point is similar on them. The Fortunes are also serviceable and rebuildable in the US. The shop is all of 10 minutes down the road from me

Both the same made in the same factory of Taiwan just different colors I like the d2 purple I had k sports with 19kg front and rear then later switchedtl 21kg d2 they are mid level setups and actually a lot of people swear on k sports for track builds because it serves it's purpose. All the mid level coil overs are the same and people only claim one is better based on brands and even pricing
pricing =quality
More expensive =more quality lol
