Not trying to argue, Andrie. I've previously perused your website and am not questioning your experience or knowledge. I agree that something has been done to the data. My explanation was meant to be for the benefit of others, not in opposition of your opinion. Could the plot data be falsified? Sure, but neither of us know for sure.

Top right corner of the dyno chart tells the story. Whether you trust Fortune really isn't the question, but these guys: http://www.roehrigengineering.com/

Here's the software: http://www.roehrigengineering.com/So...20Overview.htm

Looks legit to me, but wtf do I know.

That said, these have definitely been on my mind lately and have a few perks over the Teins. I'm really wondering if coughing up the extra $600 is really going to be worth it.

From my understanding the dyno plots are correct, but I am not an expert on the matter, the more I drive the coilovers the better they feel. Highly recommend them to anyone.

I spoke with the owner of Fortune Auto today and for those that don't believe that's a real dyno graph he said he'd be glad to film one of their shocks on the dyno and print out the dyno chart right in front of your eyes.

Knowing the guy behind Fortune Auto I can tell you these are more than your average $1000 coilover. In no way is he trying to market these as uber elite top of the line but they do ride very nice and for the price point you're getting a much better package than anything else you'd spend the same amount of money on. They are forever looking to improve upon their product and I can only see these things getting better.

I'd like to know if the 510s are really worth the extra $400

i see the fortune doesn't have the hole for the brake line on the front shocks (where OP ziptied it). That always bothered me about some coilovers, even my older ones. Why make a part for a car if it doesn't work 100% for it.

sorry, random pet peeve.

ooo yeah...good point. If their customer service is as good as it's being suggested, maybe they could add that part? Has anyone contacted them about it?

Most aftermarket coilovers don't seem to make that mount, I don't really have an issue with using zipties but thats just me.

Yeah...that would bug the shit out of me actually. I sent them an email.

They responded

Hello Brett,
You are correct, we have purposefully left off the brake tab.
Problem is that our mounts are made of forged aluminum and we do not want to compromise the integrity of the material by welding to the mount.

We do however have a solution! We have released new bolt on tabs (please see attached)

We can make this for the s2000. We just need a donor car for the day. Are you local to us?
Maybe we could work something out?

Regards,
Terry

They make it for the Evo, and they are willing and able to make it for our cars too. Anyone willing to drive over there and let them borrow your car?

^Honestly not too sure how you'll pull it off with our suspension due to the fact that the struts mount in a completely different way than the Evo as pictured above. Honestly on the s2k I think a ziptie works fine. Our suspension doesn't rotate like it would on an Evo so I'd be far less concerned about the wear and tear that could be caused by using a ziptie. And if you feel that uncomfortable just put a small piece of rubbing in between the line and coilover before you ziptie.
