Hardrace offset camber rca

Hey guys. Regarding the hardrace offset rca w/camber function, I’m curious, what are the included plates for? Through my research, I’m getting mixed answers. I heard from a vendor they are used for the camber function, while some people on here are saying they are for further adjusting the roll center for extremely lowered cars?

I’m asking because I purchased the ball joints and installed them a long time ago, and I cannot find the instructions, or the plates, which I chose not to install, for reasons I cannot remember. Trying to optimize my suspension setup. Thanks for your help.

The plates are 8mm thick and only changes roll center, without them installed roll center is not changed.
If yours are many years old it might have been different though, I got mine just a few months ago.
I never had any instructions included with Hardrace products, just "should be installed by a professional".
Here it is next to the stock ball joint.

Is it possible to install just the plates only with OEM ball joints? I am interested in raising the front roll center only and leaving the camber at daily driver specs.

Yes I guess that is possible but they do have ball joints without camber adjustment though.
Otherwise it should be pretty easy to just cut out a plate in the correct thickness and ad longer bolts to the stock ones.

If you install the plates. Make sure to get the rear roll center adjusters as well to balance out the car. Installing the plates on the front, and doing nothing for the rear will actually negatively impact the handling of your vehicle. I actually just removed the plates from the front of my car and noticed a slightly more predictable feel. I don't have the rear RCA. See part below:
