Koni Yellow/Eibach vs More Expensive Options
Alright guys, my shocks are shot finally after 150k and I need something to replace them. Currently running OEM shocks with eibach pro springs. 17x8/9 rpf1s with 225/255 RS4 tires (planning on switching to square wheels and tires)
My car is still a daily, with plans to do a lot more Auto X this year (don't care about classing), while still doing at least 1-2 track days. I like how the car sits with about a 1 inch drop from oem, and want something at least somewhat improved as far as track/autoX feel, without sacrificing daily comfort toooo much. I liked the AP2 shocks, but felt like I was getting way too much roll on track with them.
So ideally with a budget around $1300 I was thinking CR shocks with swift spec r springs or Bilstein PSS. However, it seems CR shocks are impossible to get now, and Bilsteins are backordered everywhere.
So I noticed Koni Yellows are only $600 on Tire Rack... the question is, would Koni Yellows plus the eibach pro springs I have already be a decent choice for what I'm looking for? Are those mid-level $1300 shocks much superior? Would you recommend a different spring if I go the Koni yellow route?
