KW or Tein?
 

I currently run Bilsten PSS (not PSS9) coilovers but I think the shocks are starting to go out. They aren't absorbing the bumps on the road as much anymore. As such, I think I am going to change out my suspension.

Based on this, I have been thinking of changing to KW or some Teins. The PSS coilover were good but you start noticing that they aren't stiff enough when you push it hard. The PSS are good in that you don't have to mess with the rebound and what not, you just install them and drive. However, they could be stiffer.

I have been looking into upgrading to something like the KW3 or Tein RA. I don't track but do enjoy a spirited drive in the twisties once in a while. For those that have these Coilovers, do you think they will be too hardcore for my use? I still want my car to ride decently comfortable. I heard the KW3 are super stiff.

I've got the KWV3's and love em. You can adjust the dampening, etc. to your liking i.e. make them softer. I do not have experience with the Tein RA's.

Dont forget to consider HKS. Great suspension for the price and proven to do well at the track.

The Challenge line of coilovers is also showing a lot of promise and potential.

how long have you had the PSS installed? I just recently had them installed and I love them. I didn't want to bother with the rebound adjustments, therefore I bought the PSS with the spring rates that closely matched the CR. The dampening is excellent.

have you considered having your Bilsteins revalved? it's a fairly reasonable cost, you could spec a more aggressive damping curve, and at the same time you could also swap in higher spring rates if you wanted.

you've already "invested" in a high quality damper, why not have them "setup" exactly how you want, rather than paying even more for a different off the shelf option?

that said, if you want an adjustable shock and/or want something different, go with the KW. and sell me your PSS kit. :)
