Lowering spring + Rota D2 wheels
Hi Everyone,
My name is Christopher. I have a relatively stock 2007 S2000, with just a few simple modifications (shift knob, front spoiler, etc).
I've been looking into lowering my vehicle. My car is driven daily, all year long (including winter). I am looking for a mild drop, nothing too "slammed" as I need to be able to drive it over curbs, driveways, and most importantly....snow. I do not want to have to roll/pull the fenders if I don't have to. I'm also open to adding more negative camber if necessary. Here's my current summer setup (my winter setup are OEM wheels with OEM sized winter tires):
Wheels: Rota D2: 18x8 +48 front, 18x9 +50 rear
Tires: Continental ContiSport Contact 3: 225/40/18 front, 245/35/18 rear
Does anyone have experience using Eibach Pro-Kit springs with Rota D2 rims? I've heard that Eibach springs have a relatively mild drop, about one inch. Does anyone know if this set-up work ok without any rubbing issues?
Any recommendations would be very appreciated. Sorry if this has been discussed before...if so, please just forward me a link.
Regards,
Christopher

The fronts you should be fine but the rears MIGHT need a roll given those specs.
btw make sure you search about spring stiffness bias on different MY

iam7head,
Do you have any suggestions/recommendations? I'm assuming hgih spring stifness if required when lowering? From what I've found, there's only one Eibach Pro-Kit spring, so I don't believe I have a choice as far as spring stiffness.

I incorrectly listed the Rota D2 offsets. I've updated my post. The rear size is actually 18x9 +50 (not +55). Fronts are correct at 18x8 +48.
I doubt this changes anything significantly.

I have the exact same d2's as you, with the same offsets. i also have eibach springs and i have yet to even have the slightest sign of rubbing. I do however only have 245/35 tires on the rear and 215/40 on the front so that could contribute to no rubbing, i am trying to decide if i will go a bit wider, but am not sure.
