Missing rear brake shims (anti-squeal)
Previous owner removed all brake shims when putting in EBC "Redstuff" pads which has some type of tape (??!!!) applied to the outside of the pads, to minimize noise.
Contacted Majestic Honda (online) and my local Honda dealer - rear shims are backordered with no date of expected availability. Wondering if it is 'OK' to run the rear pads (Carbotech XP8) w/o the shims for a bit, until I locate shims.
Also, does the S2000 share same rear brakes with any other Hondas/Acuras?

The first thing I do when I get new pads is remove the shims and throw them out. If your rotors are new or have been turned and you bought good pads, shims are unnecessary. I've done this numerous times and none of my brakes ever squeal.
S2000 rear pads are the same as many other Hondas. My old 2007 RDX rear pads were the same. Accords for many years used the same rear pad part number also.
