Default Mugen/Spoon bushing sets compared to OEM

I've been thinking of refreshing my '04 with 108k (2,500 track, with a 30k cross country road trip), it's been my daily driver and only car since I bought it 14 years ago. I think I could do well with a bushing refresh (suspension as well).

I've read all the threads on bushings but am unable to find any technical data on Mugen/Spoon hardness compared to OEM other then some guesses that OEM is 45A and Mugen/Spoon are 65-85.

I don't want to make a stiffer ride, and would like to stay as close to OEM as possible. Replacing all of the arms and bits with new OEM parts is too expensive a route to take.

Anyone have further technical data on these bushings and/or have a stock S2000 but just changed the bushings to one of these Mugen/Spoon?

Well its not like you have much choice. If you want to stay with traditional rubber bushings, which for a dd is very good idea, its either pay stupid money on new oem arms you don't need just to get bushings, or go with mugen/spoon.

Even if the rubber is stiffer than oem, its going to be a smoother, and less maintenance, than any other choice (such as poly or solid, etc).

You're hitting the nail on the head with my concern. A few years back when I had to replace my motor mounts, I went with Hasports but don't remember the density (62, 70 or 80) but after 2 weeks I ripped it out, it was just waaaay to stiff for a daily driver, the entire car shook and rattled, it was awful and I was miserable...again for a daily driver with some weekend fun track time. So I'm really concerned about how much stiffer the Mugen's are compared to OEM.

@noodlels, you also responded to my CR suspension thread, thanks, figured since I'm changing the suspension might as well do the bushings and be done with it for another 14 years
