Default My front brake squeals and is wearing out.

I was wondering is it normal, that my front is wearing a lot faster then my rear......?

Since it is rear wheel drive shouldn't my rear brakes wear out faster?

My front pads are started to squeal more and more each day and i check the pads and it don't have much life to it left.

Cars have braking biased to the front on all that I know of...doesn't matter if front or rear wheel drive.

70-80 percents of braking power come from the front, it's pretty normal to have it wear out first

replace pads and rotors (if rotors are low) up front and drive.

usual MO on my brake changes for other cars has been new pads on the front only first go round, pads and rotors on the fronts and pads on the rear next go round, pads on the front, then the 4th time it's rotors all around with fresh pads, then repeat if needed.

My Xterra being the exception, it eats front pads because it is so heavy, usually do two pad changes before a rotor change on that X.
