If I understood it correctly, the lower mount (cup) was not changed.("without changing any hardware on the shock absorber"). Its position is just adjusted to compensate for the softer spring. If they had changed their design of the lower mount, that would really address the problem, but I don't see any difference there. The only new thing I could find is the plastic spring spacer which sits on the preload adjuster.

Tried to compare the part numbers on the old vs new kit. The old one used different top mounts in the rear and the new kit use same front and rear.
Lower mounts are unfortunately not listed.

Great to see them adjust the rear settings to get more travel and make other adjustments, and I absolutely despise that they pushed them more towards understeer at the limit with those rates, haha. I completely understand why they chose those rates for a more stable rear end and bias towards understeer, but personally I think 11k/11k would be perfect. They mentioned that "Main reason was not that a too stiff rear spring was used." when discussing oversteer on the previous kit, which yes is true, it was due to the lack of rear travel not the spring rate, so give me some spicier spring rates pls. I'm sure this new setup will feel more comfortable and be able to be as fast if not faster than the old setup. But with the right driver and setup and 11/11 rates I think it will be that much better, especially with the crazy tires available today.
I would love to see them offer this kit for people wanting a safer more stable setup, and offer another setup with 11k/11k.

Again though, very glad to see them update rear for more travel, but not clear if they actually changed the rear lower mounts? I do know that the rear damper valving was adjusted as well.

But how is there more travel? It's a 10N/mm softer spring and only 1mm more preload.

They list 1mm of preload in the front and 10mm in the rear. It's not 1mm more preload.

I was talking about the rear where the problem lies, old kit had 9mm preload (yes this was updated) and the new kit has 10mm.

I agree, compared to latest instructions for the HOS MI20, the successor HOS MI21 does not really offer more travel.

Ah. The original DFV kit didn't list 9mm of preload it listed 1-2mm. I am discussing with a friend who knows more about this kit. I am interested to see how they increased rear travel then. Clearly something has changed or they wouldn't say "The result is that from ride height we now have approximately 50mm of compression stroke and 50mm of rebound stroke.

"
