Default OEM Shocks - are they out there?

Sorry if this has been asked a million times, but was curious if OEM shocks for my AP1 2003 are out there? I did search most of the known Honda parts sites and all indicated “discontinued”. Are the shocks truly discontinued (assuming they are) and what other places should I look for OEM replacements? 2003 with 53,000 miles, starting to get some of the worn out shock “clunks” over bumps and would really like to replace with OEM if possible. Thanks everyone for helping one of the old guys here.

They're discontinued.

Options closest to OEM shocks would be to buy Koni Yellows.

Or buy a Bilstein PSS/PSS9 coilover setup

I faced your same problem.
Went with Koni Yellows, they are adjustable. Very close to OEM feeling.

Can still find low mile used stock shocks. No need to get exact model year, spring rates close enough that damping rates would be close enough.

Bit these are also oldnow, so low miles means potential dry rot.

But, are you sure clunk isn't swaybar end link or something?

Thank you all for the input and thoughts. I will also poke around to see if any bushings are worn.

I have been able to find OEM shocks for my 2009, piece by piece. Ebay, Honda Factory Parts, and United Arab Emeritus, to find them all. My dealer had them for the right side but very expensive.

I would like to know if ordering these parts are a good idea or just stick to what is still there. 88K miles.

Buy new oem, its still 20 year old rubber seals. Will it last as long as when they were newer?

I don't know.

What I do know, buying smart is buying rebuildable stuff. Even when it wears out, you can send it out during winter downtime.
