I would still buy both so you can see the difference

Damn it why does this solution make so much sense?

I'll speak for a couple local guys on them, though I am on KWV3's myself. The DFV's are great on track. One guy is running the 700f/571r and the other is the OTS 571/458 (?). They are both very fast cars. Don't seem to be necessarily faster the KWV3 cars, but I would imagine they ride better, as well as being easier to dial in (1 adjustment instead of 2). The spring split is great for staggered setups, and requires less bad adjustments to balance.

I've had the DFVs for almost a year with 700f/571r, and about 7 track events on them on 255RS3's. They ride amazing on the street, better at absorbing little imperfections in the road. On the track they really hold their own, and each click of adjustment really changes the car's behavior. I usually run 6 clicks from stiff in the front and 8 in the back, depeneding on track and condition. I would not say that these make for a faster car than KWV3's, but the build quality is superior.
But when it comes down to it, speed is not everything when it comes to buying parts, as it's just as important to buy parts that will LAST, and these sure seem like they will.

thank you for your responses..
I just ordered these (yesterday)..
I plan on racing with these on the track with very sticky semi-slicks.. i.e. Direzza DZ03G and Federal FZ201
I plan on changing the springs on a similar setup to Chugs..basically I am going to use the supplied front springs on the rear and and get a fresh stiffer set for the front..around 12kg/mm (672 - 728 lbs/in)
My question is, don't these coilovers need revalving with this spring change? or it is very near to manufacturer specs and its ok?
Urge design's input on this?

Why not try the stock springs first. Then move to stiffer springs if you feel you need them? 10kg/8kg is a tad soft for R-compounds/semi-slicks. But there's no sense in blindly changing the springs.
