Default One set of rear brakes doesn't have guide pin...still fine to use?

I just ordered a brand new set of EBC yellows all around, threw on the front just fine, moved to the rear got one done then noticed the other pair had no guide pin on it.

Is it still fine to run them? Or put the OEM back on?

yup, nothing wrong with it. Most race pads dont have any. Did you put two pads with the guides on one side though?

Awesome thanks.

Nope, I installed the first side with only one that had a guide. Got to the other side and the one that should have it is missing it.

Well I feel dumb and should have just read the directions....Apparently I got the set on the left and only one pad comes with a pin.

This chart just confused me more, it says the bumps "pips" fit in the piston but then it says one is on the fixed side. I just placed the ones with the pips on the piston side so it fits in the X of it.

Did I do it wrong? And does it even matter or do I just look stupid

I always grind those off so that I can swap pads from inside to outside to get even wear.
