Please help w/ this koni yellow question
First, the search seems to be down so i apologize if this is a repeat question.
I do taxes for a living and recently moved into a condo and, short version of the story, i have no time right now to do this install myself. I bought the koni's because i recently got run off the road and smashed into a curb bending the passenger side front l.c.a and the shock. i didn't want one shock with -0- miles on it and 3 shocks w/ 70k on them so i bought the konis because they were much cheaper.
So i was supposed to pick up my car today but the mechanic called and said that the spring seats were the wrong size. he then said the seats off the original shocks weren't tapping off w/ a few hits of the hammer and appeared to be welded. he said he could cut them off and put them on the konis but he wasn't sure how that would work.
I'm not sure about the cutting or the welded part but. Anybody have experience with this? Any aftermarket seats that work with stock springs? The tech people at koni (who i spoke to before taking the car in to the shop) said they should just be a bolt on affair and i wouldn't need any additional parts. I ordered directly from koni BTW. Can anybody help out a busy accountant who doesn't have the time or place to do this himself right now??? MANY THANKS in advance

I was told that AP2 perches are fixed to the shock and don't come off with a rubber hammer like the AP1 ones.
Let me know if you finally have success (I was also interested in a set of Koni shocks..)
