U really don’t need it. The engine and subframe sits behind that bar. It weights about 15lbs so that was my main reason on removing it. Iv had no issues removing it and racing without it. No significant difference at all. I race at buttonwillow the most now and hoping on the burms and doing two wheels seems to have no effect on the chassis without the bar. We shall see overtime tho.

I haven’t broken anything yet including my shock mounts and strut bar lol. I’ll make a post if I bend some structural stuff.

Damn. I didn't know what you were referring to at first. Yeah that would seem extremely poor judgment experimenting on that major structural cross member for a measly 15lb. Its also going to help reinforce the car in a collision. You saying your skilled/consistent enough driver that 15lb is going to make or break your day? I would get something welded back in place there.

Yeah, I mean a beefy bar like that, with its beefy bolts, on a car like this that Honda went to extremes engineering, it can't be superfluous.

I'm all for first hand real world experience over conjecture, but in this case we don't even know what that component is supposed to do. So not yet perceiving any negative outcomes doesn't really demonstrate anything meaningful.

This feels like something where the potential consequences far exceed the reward.
