Default Proper Suspension for Drag Strip Use?

Ok so Ive been reading trying to find various opinions on what most people prefer as far as suspension setups on high hp cars for just straight line racing. I need something that will be rather soft in the rear to assist with better traction. On that note, a lowering spring would suffice, however the lowered car wouldnt work well at all with bigger tires. So that brings us to coilovers. Other than having the ability to adjust height, are there any on the market capable of actually adjusting the stiffness of the ride? I really hope some of you track whores will chime in and let me know what kind of suspension setups you have had success with on the strip. I plan on beating the hell out of my car this upcoming spring through fall season and the stock stuff simply will not do. Thanks in advance guys
