Questions about ST coils
Good morning,
I have a new to me AP1 that has leaking shocks. The plans for this car are cruising, some mountain driving, and an occasional autocross or time trial track day during the summer. I am looking at the entry level ST coilovers as I have had them on a different car and enjoyed the ride quality and performance increase that they gave me. I would have looked at the Bilstein PSS, but they appear to be out of stock at the moment?
Any feedback on whether or not ST coils are a good option for this car is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The ST is more agressively sprung. Its also a twin tube system. I think they're pretty over priced at ~$900-1K. I used them on a non-S2000 application and I wasn't all that happy with them in terms of ride. The plastic spring adapters were also prone to making noise. Maybe the application I bought wasn't very well thought out. The rear upper spring adapters/seats were aluminum. The fronts were plastic and they had a lip that interfered with the stock tophat. So once the tophat's rubber bushing ripped through...they started making noise.
Easy fix by just buying a different spring adapter that wasn't lipped. But...if I'm buying those type of parts...why TF am I paying the price for ST to design the system? Why TF does a zinc plated, twin tube damper with no valve adjustments cost $900 if it needs for me to buy spring seats?
Bilsteins are the better system hands down. For $100-200 more, its a better damper with monotube construction, external reservoirs to maintain rear travel, and...aluminum spring seats.
I would wait on the Bilstein, personally.

B serious, thanks for weighing in. I ran the ST on a Mini Cooper and loved them for what they were. Plus, I found a new set of ST locally for a smoking deal ($750) and thought that for the price, if I could find some feedback on the forums about their application for the S2000, they may be wroth my time. But I agree that Bilstein has been great on my GTI and my S4. I will keep an eye of the classifieds and see if a set Bilsteins pops up.

I'm looking on THmotorsports.
$750 for used ones isn't really a great deal.
Also, I have a lot of notifications. What do these people want from me?!?

Haha I feel like that all the time! The $750 is for a new set locally so not a bad deal! It would put them about 350-400 behind the Bilstein PSS kits in price.
