BTW - on all the applications I've seen, V1 through V3's have the same damper length and prescribed height range. The Clubsports have slightly shorter dampers than the V1-V3 line typically, and higher rates.

I've waffled back and forth, but looking at what rates tend to work on an S2000 on track and the spring lengths has swayed me - I'm going to go with the Tein Flex Z's. They're the cheapest option, they have a workable 10 kg/mm spring rate, and have adjustable damping for what it's worth. A little something to tweak the handling if I don't like something, even though I see myself "setting it and forgetting it" once I get happy. They also come with top hats, so no hassling with apart the factory stuff, and I can leave that ready for an easy change out.

I'm also hoping I can get enough travel in the suspension at a reasonable ride height, and the stiffer spring should help out on track. No doubt Ohlins are better, but at over 3x the price, I'm sure I can survive. I'm in oil and gas too, so future employment is shaky (another reason the S13 is going away - to free up a little cash).

I'll be sure to update my findings as I put some street and track miles on them.

Nice!

As I said, I like Tein. I am using Tein setups on 2 (street driven only) cars and I've been happy.

From experience...you likely won't be able to set and forget them because of how the damping curve is adjusted and designed. But...it'll be cool to see a proper review on these.

Hope you are able to post some useable measurements for people. I think it'll show that a budget setup can go well, given some proper setup.

Well, the setting it and forgetting it will be at a pretty racey setting most likely, but we'll see how it rides and how much trouble it is to adjust since I do like to keep the spare in.

Yea, I'll at least post up how much damper travel there is etc.
