Default Storing new OEM dampers

So i've been thinking, since replacement parts are harder to find as the S2000 ages it might be worth buying stock parts while they are available. Especially things like dampers and springs (complete sets).
But can you store new dampers for a long periode of time? And if so, how? laying flat, standing up,...?

Or am i overthinking this and will the suspension last long enough and should i then buy a good quality set of aftermarket dampers/coilovers?

Store them like Honda stores them. In a box. On a shelf.

There are a lot of aftermarket choices. Unless you want only OEM suspension for a particular reason?

I was just wondering really, i don't even have a s2000 yet but i am looking out for the perfect s, I'm not in a hurry to get one so i'm taking my time so i don't regret setllling for a older or different color car after.
I was looking at the cr suspension and that is very hard to get new so now might be the time to get it and store it. But after everything is said and done it might be better to get ohlins or something.
Cheers for the replies!

Yep. As long as you're fine being about 1/2" to 1" lower, an aftermarket suspension is a good choice.
