The general consensus seems to be to buy a reman and don’t fiddle with trying to rebuild the caliper. How does the other side look in comparison?
There was a guy selling good condition used ones in classifieds btw.

The other side very clean.... BUT the piston was seized... I pished the psiton out and it was very badly scored and has zero lube....
just ordered a set for reman nissen rears from amazon. Just 150? Lets see how they work out. Will likely replace both sides.
any tips on releasing and re-engaging the handbrake cable?

Got the amazon replacements... not nissen but for $147 for two, that is okay i guess.
