Tein Monoflex vs KW V3
Hello Guys,
Currently I'm using on my S2000 Tein MonoFlex Coilovers. Got a deal for used KW V3 (w/ 2000 kms after service). Will this be a good upgrade? What differences will I notice? How good are the KW? Thank you! Best regards, Anualmix |
The KW are a nice setup....but I would probably stick with the Teins.

Why are the Teins better than KW V3?

I wouldn't necessarily say one is better.
The advantage to the Tein in this case: -Monotube -Longer service life -More tuning possibilities (spring rates, valving changes, height adjustment points, preload, etc) -OP already owns them The KW has extended oil capacity...but travel is still pretty limited. KW's quality/longevity is good...but not quite as good as Tein's. KW's are stainless....so they won't rust easily...but Tein's rust proofing is generally quite good. The monoflex represents Tein's older design BUT it can be brought up to new spec with a rebuild. The Teins are also arguably more track oriented. I wouldn't go out and buy the KW if I already had the Monoflex, is what I'm saying. |
single vs. double adjustable... if you track the car and know what you're doing with those knobs, otherwise, leave it alone - you're likely to make it worse than stock.
A high quality single is better than a mediocre quality double; however, I don't think the Mononflex fits that bill. |
