Default Strut Orientation

My car is under the knife and we have sold our house. She needs to be semi road worthy for the move (20 miles away). I need to put the stock struts back on and can't remember which way they face. Does the welded nut go forward or backward? Thanks!

forward I believe, just make sure the brake line isn't looping around, easiest way to tell

Welded nuts face inward, so they face towards the back up front and face towards the front in the back.

Borrowed from Rob's page:
(Not OEM dampers, but orientation is the same)

Front Driver

Rear Driver

Also for the fronts, the brake line bracket should be towards the front of the car. For the rears, the external reservoirs should be towards the rear of the car.
