Default what BBK would you guys recommend?

I have a mostly track duty MY2000 S2k. It's pretty much gutted, and currently run slotted rotors, motul 600, SS lines, brake ducting, and carbotech 8/10. I go though pads about every 4 track days, and some weekends am running both days. Carbotech pads run over $200 a set. I have about 400 RWHP with an SOS turbo kit.

was looking on ebay and ran across

http://www.ebay.com/itm/STOPTECH-FRO...t2axGQ&vxp=mtr STOPTECH

http://www.ebay.com/itm/StopTech-83-...dVVsvC&vxp=mtr Same or differnt???

I use a wilwood aftermarket brake set on my old landcruiser and it's been great for 15 years

I like 2 peice rotors.. cheaper to replace.

anyway, there's a range of prices here...$950 to $2000... big price difference...

opinions welcome!!

thanks!

The StopTech BBK is a known quantity for tracked cars.

if you search out coupon codes you can do a brembo GT 328 kit from autoanything for 23xx.

the cheapest I have found the stoptech 328 kit is 1600.... search around you will find one.

I have experience with stoptech and the brembo GT kits on my other cars. I have the brembo 355mm kit on a 350z, and the stoptech 355mm kit on my evo IX - both cars are in the mid 500's whp. having both, Brembo is the best. there is no debating it. it is. the stoptech is not as nice and doesn't feel as nice driving. the rotors on the brembo are the best on the market. that said, it is also the most expensive. You have to figure out if the brembo is $700 nicer. if money is no object you buy the brembo. if money is a concern, you consider the stoptech

as far as where the essex/ap kit falls in, it's priced the same as what you can get a brembo kit for. if you are spending that amount, you are buying the brembo kit, so IMHO it is priced too high regardless of the sales pitch of cheaper consumables. these are my honest opinions
