The install for the Challenge lines was incredibly simple. My mechanic did the first one and I watched, and then I did the last 3. First time I have ever worked on my own car, well the brake system at least. Was much more simple than I thought. The install was also made easy by using the same mounting points as the OEM lines.

Thanks for the insight... I have 300 miles on my car so I'm thinking that the lines and everything should be fairly easy to take off... Just need to do the brake fluid right after that..

I think I will be going with the Goodridge. Where is the best place to purchase them?

Would you guys recommend I replace the brake fluid with a higher grade? I will not be tracking the car. I think regular brake fluid is sufficient.

My car has 78,xxx miles on it and they were simple. I do not consider myself mechanically inclined either and like I stated, it was a breeze. I didn't change my fluid when I did my lines, didn't have time to flush the system. When I get new pads and rotors I will change the fluid though. Anyone have any recommendations for a good fluid for the street?

Off-the-shelf DOT3 is going to be fine on the street.

Or off-the-shelf DOT4 if you feel the need.

FWIW, I've gotten as good or even better performance out of off-the-shelf DOT4 (castrol, Pennzoil) than out of ATE SuperBlue, which I used once and was quite disappointed with...

why were you disappointed with superblue? I've had it in both of my s2000s and haven't had any problems.. just curious.

I'm also wondering what the shelflife (if any) there is for ate superblue.. I've had a can of it sitting in my basement for 2 years that I never used.

Careful during the install, many people have stripped their OEM fittings. Invest in a flare crowfoot wrench.
