RacingBrake is coming out with rear Vented Big Brake Kit using OEM caliper and ebrake. the Wilwood BBK uses single piston caliper with ebrake similar to oem caliper.

I saw that. But I seem to remember that it was going to be expensive to the point where I would just get a full kit. The Wilwood kit allows you to keep the e-brake and is ~$1,250.

How much is the racing brake kit going to be?

The RB +2 rear BBK will retail for $1035 but there will be a preorder special group buy with 20% discount for $828.

The +1 rear BBK will be a little cheaper.

The advantage of the RB rear kit is using OEM size pads which have a pretty good selection of pads. And OEM calipers which will be cheaper to replace or rebuild.

Can you remind me or send me the link where I can see the difference between the +1 and +2 kits? Also, do you know when they will be released?

Info about +1 and +2 are in the link I posted earlier. +1 is 307mm and +2 is 328mm. They should be available before the end of the year.

i also thought about getting this wilwood setup as well. and i also thought along the same lines--the rb setup and the wilwood setup are similar in price enough. but for me, the wilwood design is too similar to the oem to justify changing it and inheriting the problems of going aftermarket. flex is really bad with the oem caliper--you can see for yourself by having a friend step on the pedal. it will amaze you how much the caliper moves. but since the wilwood is just like oem, i don't believe it would be much better. also, since it is not oem, brake balance and sensitive things like abs might be affected if wilwood did not do their r&d well. so,.......... for me the rb option hondaf1 talks of seems better.

if you want to go for a rear bbk, i say buy a real one like stoptech's. they have one with parking brake, but you need 18" wheels to clear. and it's expensive as hell.

I'm pretty interested in the RB rear BBK.
It's pretty hard to balance the brake bias with 6-pot Wilwood BBK in front...
