S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

Keep in mind different brand tires are different size even though they are both 255. 245 will clear for sure since that is the stock size tire. Starspecs run a little wide.

Star specs run a lot wide

They will clear with +63 offset wheels, minus the fender tabs. The wheel itself my rub your a-arm depending on the camber you run, at full lock. It's minimal.

Thanks guys, this is great info. I think I'll hold off AutoX'ing on my new PF01s w/ 255 Star Specs until I get a set of J's S1/S2 in and can go get a better alignment, I'm still rocking stock alignment in STR :-p

My fenders thank you!

Are the front fender liners typically worn off/damaged by the tire when you go 255's on a 17x9 +63?
Definitely getting those sized wheels though!

Yes even with -3.0 deg of camber. You may also have the fender tab graze the side of the tire as well. I have that issue on my car.

That is why I went x 8.5 + 59 with 245/40 star specs square, no issues

Only happens when you go full compression though which will be remedied in the very near future.

So how are you going to remedy the issue?
I'm sooo close to buying some 17x9 +63 wheels,
only thing stopping me is if these wheels damage the car in any way I'm gonna save my money instead

Stiffer suspension

I did push my fender tabs up like 5 degrees, but I'm not sure if it'll actually help. My fender tabs are chewed through, but that can be fixed in the future. The fender tab just barely grazes the tire so their is a small line you around the side of the tread, but not alarming enough to destroy the tire. Just a slight mark to show there is some contact...

Did you guys have to get a bigger/stiffer front sway bar or is the CR FSB sufficient?

Thanks
