S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

Default Air Filter

Is the CR engine air filter the same as the base model S2000's air filter?
Thank you in advance.

Picture taken from the internet, very similar to what I have: the tip is a cross

Compare to the this one: the tip is round

I am however the answer is still the same, there is no difference with the CR engine air filter and that of a base s2000.

i wondered the same thing when i ordered my new air filter.
The ones I was replacing was the like the one in the second picture, the one I got was the same as the first picture. The filter itself was actually a slightly different shape,...longer and not as "cone" shaped. I checked the part numbers and it was the same but there is in fact two different filters with the same part number. They both fit, the new one just took a little more "ummmmphhh" to get in

06+ air filters have the "cross" pattern in the filter cap while the 00-05 filters have the "nipple".
