Civic Type R vs S2000 CR
I recently purchased the new Civic Type R (6/20/17), it only took me calling 78 dealerships in order to track one down in Championship White. During the shopping process for the CTR, I was also briefly looking at purchasing a CR but was never able to find a suitable one. The extra room of a hatchback vs the very limited amount of storage offered in an S2000 is not really a concern for me. Losing a touchscreen is negated by having a phone mount, and I can replace the stereo with an aftermarket bluetooth head unit with USB. I've recently started regretting my decision to go with the CTR instead of being patient and waiting for the right CR.
This car will be a DD for me, with occasional track/autocross time. I've previously owned an AP2 and I really miss that car. Not really sure what I expect to get out of this post, I seriously doubt I will even be able to find a low mileage CR at this time. I will be attending the S2000 Tail of the Dragon event with my CTR this coming month, maybe this will make my decision easier for me.
I suppose I just wanted to make this thread to see what you guys think.

Yeah you don't see the CR's for sale very often that have fairly low mileage and in great condition. Most are at dealerships and have issues. I looked hard at the CTR for my wife, just can't get past the body style, maybe it is functional but I like the sleekness of the Teslas. That is why the CR is one of my favorite cars ever. Not much slower than the CTR but the top comes off!

I've had many cars over the years and driving a CR is like driving a super car. A Civic is a compact car just like any other. CR over Civic any day!
Selling my extremely low mileage ~8,000 08 RYP CR. I purchased the car with 1500 miles from Kumbera and pretty much still looks the same...

Might be asking $45k or so.

I'd be really happy with a CTR, as a daily driver I'd give up my S2000 in a minute for a regardless of price difference, but I would never DD my S2000 so I love it as a garage queen weekend car.

Both are great cars, congrats on the CTR!
Honda rep brought out a red CTR during our NSXPO event a few months back so in a sea of NSX's, the red CTR was the sole Honda Car definitely held it's own and most NSX owners loved the car from who I talked to. A few got to drive the car, parked next to the NSX this thing looked like a huge Rolls Royce!
I got a chance to ride in the CTR and later drive it, amazing car, lotsa fun. I would say it's about 30% slower than my F80 M3. If I didn't have my M3 I would consider a CTR as my daily driver since I need to transport 2 kids and want something fun.
But the CR and CTR are about as opposite of a car as can be from same company. Turbo vs N/A, the s2000 is definitely more fun to drive but more punishing for a daily.
Didn't get a picture of the cars side by side but this was the mfr. demo red CTR at the event:
