S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

I knew about the brace, but didn't know that it used base suspension or the small rears.
Did it have the spare or was it inflator kitted?

The Type S did actually have an upgraded suspension over the base S but not the CR specs. The spare tire was deleted in the Type S model just like the CR.

So my what if problem became reality on the weekend. I am now without a soft top. I went 3 whole days without an S2000 before tripping on a local 2009 CR with 296 miles. Yahoo. No rain this weekend so the top stayed off. Now I gotta go cover shopping to keep the leaves out. Thanks for the links and the order will be following soon.

I am also interested in installing an oem soft top in a CR. If I dont use the power assembly, remove the motors, I can have a manual top on the CR? It all just bolts up? I might just got this way to keep it cheap.

Yup, all you need to do is find someone that removed their soft top for racing. You have to take apart the rear cabin area and remove the steel braces installed in place of the soft top frame. Bolt the soft top frame in place and you are good to go with a manual top. The rear tray would be your choice. Either leave it out or trim one up to fit under/around the rear strut bar as I did.
