S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

Very good mkt data here. Based on the above sales price, I wonder if sub-30k miles excellent condition 100% stock (in any color), is now commanding about 40k US. After the GPW, RYP has the lowest number produced, then ABP and BB.

A couple of things to consider, to a collector, < 10k, 10-20k, and 30k+ have huge variances in price. From my experience with NSXs, most collectors want sub 10k, so I'm not entirely sure if 40k would include ~20-30k mile CRs. Also, Yellow is an interesting color as similarly in the NSX market, even though there were almost 2x the amount of silver cars vs Yellow between 2002-2005, the Yellows are a much harder sell and prices are always usually lower.

Good points! I believe there are some distinctions between the NSX vs the S2000 Club Racer that may impact the color variable . 1x significant differences in production #s. 2. Inherently more aggressive/flashy Styling of CR (front and rear spoiler) may fit better with more flashy colors like RYP. 3.ever decreasing #s of CRs in the mkt at any point in time. We will see how things develop. This is all great conversation!

Cool post! Good reading

Cars like this with low technology, high demand and stopped production will always be in high demand over cars plagued with technology that gets dated with the next model year.

We had a 2009 GPW (non-CR) that has barely 8000 miles, decided to let it go in pursuit of a RYP CR but could not find the right car so finally settled for an normal 08 RYP.

We also have one of the rarest NSX's being a GPW/Onyx combo. It was the ONLY GPW/Onyx made in 2004 according to records. Recently had a well respected local detailer do a week long paint correction and detail. This was the first real detail since we took ownership many years ago.

Kinda gave up on the RYP CR idea at this point and going to concentrate on other cars for a while.

Good job by Honda making these cars!
