S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

Nicely done. I searched a number of different Honda parts sites for 'grommet', 'cap', 'cover' and others but never thought it would be a gasket!

Sorry I didn't see this sooner, I could have saved everyone some time and effort. I need to pay more attention...

The part pictured on the right appears to be the correct piece, I assume I'm looking at the backside of the part?

The white part is a peel-away label. It is installed on the inside of the cabin and the black foam part protrudes through the cutout in the firewall.

Here's a better picture.

Hello everyone, I picked up the part listed above but to my surprise the part is a foam with a sticker backing for peeling off. I was under this impression it would be a rubber grommet that plugs the wall. Is the firewall plug in fact a foam like gasket?

I was hoping for something more substantial. I have deleted my A/C and my car is "track only". I have that hole covered so in the event of a fire flames cannot enter the passenger compartment.

OEM solutions are usually best but that doesn't seem to hold true in this instance.
