S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

It seemed strange to me as well.

Was a black CR stolen recently?

Strange for sure but

1. It is Florida. Maybe its a delete model and no one wants it.
2. Theft recovery or water damaged?

I'm betting certificate of destruction or something for the title. No other way to sell it other than part it out.

I've been following that seller for awhile, I think they just buy up whatever they can.

*edit* And seriously considering those seats though I wish I could scoop up the pairs that go for ~$1200 or so. $2.5k is a ton

This is a real unicorn! If it ends up going up for sale, I hope someone in the CR community picks it up and takes care of it!!

Not that much of a unicorn. I have a black delete with roughly the same mileage, same situation.

I think what Beard was referring to was that only 8 GPW deletes were made (of which maybe 6 still exist) which makes them far harder to find/buy. But Harpoon your BB delete is rare as well, and not to be discounted.

Only ten black deletes were made.

My point is that they are around, and not uber-rare.

Harpoon, I too have a Berlina Black delete. The GPW delete is the rarest s2000 sold in the united states, period. And i'd disagree about the uber-rare comment, 1 of 8 made for any car classifies as extremely rare in most peoples eyes. I'm just happy to see another delete pop up, its definitely not an everyday thing.
