Default CR replica lip arrived today!

Hi guys,

The CR replica front lip I ordered just arrived. Looks good and im going down to the body shop now to have it painted and installed. Since the body shop is adding the paint and install of the lip into the current insurance coverage ( had a fender bender last week )and I had $250.00 sitting in paypal from selling spare computer parts I was able to get the lip ordered, pained and installed for $50 bucks...

Cant beat that... hope it fits!! Excuse the camera it sucks I know...

UPDATE - Body shop is worried because the lip is fiberglass. They say its gonna shatter as soon as I hit something.... so I guess I gotta take super care while parking, etc. He also said they cant manipulate the lip if it doesn't fit since its fiberglass. But for a total cost of $50 bucks I told him to put it on provided it fits....

1) This is 2013. Get yourself a real camera.

2) Is it me, or does the lip only attach via the side fender screws? I don't see any under bumper attach points? Are there spots to mount it through the face of the bumper?

its 2013, and I have a real camera. Just the backside of the lens got dusty and its not worth taking apart.

The lip attached via the fender and under the center of the lip to the bumper.

Yes - the replica CR lips do not have the brackets like the OEM so they need to be installed in this fashion...

Im curious how they'll handle highway speeds w/o the screws thru the bumper's face. Im planning to go with a OEM CR lip, but dont want to drill thru my bumper.

So far I've done 70mph without any issues, my lip is attached at wheelwell and underneath, no screws through the bumper.

There is an air gap between the bumper and lip without those screws and the lip will flex if you push down on it.

I plan on mounting my GoPro to my bumper and seeing what happens to the lip at 70-100mph.

Weatherstripping takes care of that gap

I have ha d mine on for a few months and was the one that helped the manufacture come up with the bottom brackets. My car is low. I have smashed into driveways a bunch of times and has not cracked at all. It's quite flexible and ca handle abuse. Doesn't mean you should not try and avoid it though lol. With the weather stripping, I have ZERO gaps. It fits like a glove.
