S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

I'm just aiming for this seat for now. I will eventually get legit racing buckets, but I'm keeping a OEM/stock set up for the time being. I'm in a Cr phase.

I did try a bucket...the bucket in your car!

It made me feel fat as I had a hard time getting in and out

I have tons of experience with CR seats since I basically disassembled two of them, carried them in my check-in luggage, took them cross country on Southwest and put them back together.

Besides the suede option, I was shocked how heavy they are if you count the rails and sad to say these seats were quite a disappointment.

A quick recap:

a) Material is harder than the OEM AP2 seats in general
b) Less grippy, felt like I was sitting on top of the seat rather than in it
c) The mustard yellow is not really YELLOW but an off-color
d) Did I mention they look ugly unless you have a yellow car?

Not trying to offend CR owners but this is the main reason I sold them after only 1000 miles and I went to great pains to get them

P.S. Not all s2000 seats are created equal. It seems AP2 (04/05) sits lower. The AP2 (06/07) are a bit softer and have supple leather while the AP2 (08/09) feel different yet again.

Just so you guys know I'm not full of hot air, I've owned just about EVERY year, EVERY model s2000 seat.

and lastly there were my favorite seats (04/05 AP2)

Weren't the seats made by recaro up until the 06+ seats when Honda brought them in house?

Rick I agree the seats are much firmer and feel hard on the 08/09 compared to previous years. Thicker leather perhaps?

I respectfully disagree with some of your points about the cr seats though

Holy shit mother F, you even got the door and center trim to match.

Crazy but I admire the attention to detail and the mad obsession.

Damn, those rare red face seats from 08/09 are by far the best looking oem s2k seats, incredible. Actually wish I had those in my car...
