Default CR Seats

What material are the CR seats made out of and how do you properly clean them.

This also includes the door panels which I believe have the same material.

Thanks.

The material in question is called Alcantara. It's a synthetic suede materiel. The best way to clean them is with a damp cloth.

This stuff is awesome!! Really cleans and softens the fibers. It also helps the material to stand back up (seat bolster area from getting in and out).

Any tips for cleaning the cloth part of the seat? I have a bad habit of sitting on brake dust covered wheels when changing pads then immediately sitting in the car. Didn't matter with my Ap1.

If you're talking about the yellow portion, I completely agree I have a stain in the passenger side that I've no idea how to get out. It has grown to be a badge of "honor" though lol

At some point it might be worth getting some hog ring pliers and new hog rings and deal with taking the cover off and taking it to a dry cleaner.

Seat covers might not be a bad idea..

No badges of honor on my seats....but they did have a little dirt spot. I used the same foam cleaner and it seemed to work. Otherwise, just a damp cloth with maybe some light soap. Detailers domain has regular fabric cleaners as well.

Anytime! Now show us some pics! Too bad you aren't close by, a couple CR owners are doing photos this weekend. Keep an eye out on Monday for the pics.
