S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

Default Cr vs. 302

The boss 302 is the closest muscle car to our beloved CRs. Is this a car any of u guys must have?

Closest in what way? One is a scalpel while the other is a hammer.

I really wish that cars came in different sizes. I like the Mustang if it was 3/4 scale. I'd take it in Medium.

I owned a '69 Z28 Dover white w/black stripes once, very fast in a straight line but the polyglass tires made for some interesting cornering. The modern Mustang I don't find attractive in the least, the original Boss 302 would be more desirable to me personally.

My dad used to own a 92 GT. LOVED that car so much. He had to sell it due to divorce and the kid who bought it, wrecked it

I think the OP meant "closest" in the sense that it's a track ready car from the factory, just like the CR.

I like the Boss 302 personally, just not sure if I'd want to own one.

The 302 pretty much wipes the floor in any performance setting, except autocross...

The new Boss is very impressive. I was coaching a friend in his aerial atom on track and we were following a Boss 302. That Mustang def pulled on the Atom out of the corners, the Atom would then maintain, but once we hit 125mph the Mustang would start pulling again. The Mustang also seems to be pretty good under braking as well. I always joke and say I wish I was a Mustang guy because I think Ford is finally starting to do good job with these cars...but I would never own one because im just not that kind of guy lol...whatever that means.
