CR #458 http://www.copart.com/c2/car_auction...SEARCH_RESULTS Has anyone kept a running count on totaled CRs? |
That is a really nasty hit. From the outside pictures it looks like any passenger would have been dead or seriously injured. Then take a look inside and things look pretty good. I hope and think everyone came out well.
Always painful to see a CR die  |
There's a lot of good parts still on there that are untouched surprisingly.
|
In for parts... :argh:
|
Why do you have to post this up? Lol I want to be sneaky and have no one know about it so I can get it cheap. It's already at 3,xxx though. I bet it goes for 7-9k. Which would still be a deal if you needed the parts.
|
I find it amazing that even a direct hit to the windshield/door has barely any impact on the inside of the car.
This is horrible to see, but your right it can still become a great donor car. Only 12,000 miles on what appears to be an undamaged motor! EDIT: The more I look at this car, the more profit I see from it lol Seats, Motor, Wing/Trunk, Lip, Tail lights, Headlights, Rims/Tires, Front/Rear bumper, ENTIRE left side...etc |
Identical to my CR. Located not too far away. Lots of good parts, can't really tell about the hardtop.
I am very interested. |

Thanks for keeping that updated Steven with the salvaged vehicles. You always get to it before I do!
I wonder why we never see these part outs on s2ki! Lol. We've seen a handful of CR's on auctions but never have seen the part outs afterward. Maybe they are all being restored? |
It's true Ira we never see these cars being rebuilt (as far as we know), but maybe these parts are going to people looking for CR spoilers, lips and seats, etc. There are a lot of WTB ads on S2KI alone, add in the other Honda sites and you have a instant market for "faux" CR's. Maybe some of the least damaged cars are being rebuilt for track cars, in which case we may never see or hear of them.
In any case, the supply of cars is limited, and new parts are high. So any used parts will have ready buyers. On the bright side, those of us with CR's already have a limited production car which will only get more "exclusive" over time. Bottom line it's still sad to see a wrecked CR, I think I'll go look at mine and appreciate them a little more. |
