S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

I think they are comparing to the NT05. I know the RE070s are decently wide. They have rounder shoulders though which somewhat gives them the appearance of being a little skinnier. You also need to compare tires on the rim or tires off the rim because that will make a difference too.

Casey (eklipz98) has been running these on his AP2 with full CR Suspension Setup. He ran the standard 215/255 and now is on 225/255 RS-Rs. You won't have any rubbing issues. The roads we drive are extremely bumpy, and he is known to get airborne off of some jumps now and then.

The feedback he has mentioned to me is that the overall grip is good, a little less precise feel compared to Star Specs, and pretty loud at the limit (lots of squeal), overall a pretty damn good tire with an excellent price.

yeah I found one link and they are pretty cheap at around $100 a tire. Any thoughts on how they compare to the RS3? I've had those in the past and been pretty darn happy.

No street tire holds a candle to the RS3 when it comes to raw grip.... for now.

Only problem with the RS3 is over here on the east coast the Star Spec is a superior tire when it comes to a do it all not as optimal condition tire. The RS3 hands down is best for track and autocross when it's dry and warm/hot but when it's cooler or a little damp the Star Spec is more favorable.

I'll be curious to see the new Dunlops and see if they've gained any ground on the Hankooks.

Me too. I'm tempted to pre order them as the new s2k needs better tires but I can still get the RS3s $100 cheaper and I know I'm happy with them.

For you Socal guys I'd probably just stick with the RS3s. You guys probably don't run a lot of events in weather that gets as cold/cool as we do in the Mid-Atlantic region.
