Help! Former non CR owner impressions
#23
I don't miss the soft top on my CR because it isn't my daily driver. I find that I do worry a small amount about rips and wear and tear on my soft top on my '05. The tonneau cover looks really cool on the CR too. I've hit rain a couple of times without the hardtop on the CR and the interior didn't get too wet because I wasn't in stop and go driving.

+1 on the understeer. I've only had my CR on a track once but I was really surprised by the understeer compared to my previous S2000's. I really had to get on the throttle hard to reel it in. That's not what I'm used to, so I won't give pro or con opinion until I've become more accustomed to it. I have a feeling I will like it more as I adjust my track driving style over time. My first time out I was just surprised.
I do miss the soft top freedom to go top down on a whim but it's no biggie. I live in AZ, so a day trip sans-top isn't that risky weatherwise. The CR upgrades way more than make up for it in my opinion.
