it's an 08 cr 0786 rio yellow with 83,000 miles, one owner, excellent condition, always garage(that's what the owner said). posted for sale on craiglist. I asked for 19,000 cash, and they accepted. can you guys give me an opinion on this cr. Is it worth it for this price since kbb is 18k? is it worth for collector with 83k miles? I'm planning to keep it original. thanks

I assume the car is local to you Ryan, I would get a PPI (Pre Purchase Inspection) as a condition of the purchase. Hopefully, the owner has all the service records and has been diligent in keeping the service up to date. Check all the panels for the VIN tags, they should all have matching numbers. If your looking for a collector "type" CR, a 83K example may not be a collector piece, but can still be a good driver car you can enjoy. Post some pictures or maybe the Craigslist ad and maybe we can evaluate what we see in pictures of the car.
Once you've taken possession please post your location information so I can add your CR to the CR Roll Call, your CR's build number is #318 of 699 built. Here's hoping you have a great purchasing experience.

I'm back out of this deal. over all, this car is beautiful, I didn't notice any scatch or dent (it was 7pm that night). I had my brother, who is mechanic shop owner for 25yrs. He took a big flash light with him. He checked every small detail of the car. (he had spent over an hour to checked from inside out, he jacked the car to checked the bottom too, then test drive). he cant find any single problem. that mean it's in excellent condition.
My purpose to buy this cr for collector, and Vanishing point and my brother was right, with 83k miles is not a good idea. I guess ihave to look for the lowest miles possible.
so J Schmidt and xpression or any s2k members out there want to get this car. this is a chance: (since im back out of this deal). go for it, I can vouch for this cr.

ryanvo,
A collector CR is going to cost significantly more than the 19k you would have paid. There are extremely few ultra low mileage CR's out there, even rarer if you are dead set on a specific color or a delete model CR. Here is a very low mileage CR, they won't come off on their price though so get ready to pay full price.

Thanks for the update ryanvo. It's just what I wanted to hear. I'm going to be busy the next week, possibly two. If this car is still around I will be pulling the trigger on it. Part of me feels guilty as I will really be putting miles on this car, but at the same time it was made to do so.
Do we have a highest mileage CR member here?
