S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

Hey all,

A buddy of mine is interested in this CR. I told him I'd run it by you guys to hear your thoughts. From what I can see, the car looks original and unaltered. But obviously with it being black, it's hard to tell from the pics if there's been any body work or paint work done.

What makes me scratch my head about this car, is that has been on the market for well over a few months. Possibility of a problem with the car?

While I was in the hunt for my CR I noticed that there were far more BB CR's for sale than any other color. There might not actually be anything wrong with the car but the length of time it's been on the market might be due to the color.

Good luck to your friend in his car hunt!

If your friend is interested be sure to check it out thoroughly. All the major panels have matching VIN tags (or should) if any are missing or painted over be wary. Check for originality, if that is a concern, and also check the underside of the CR for damage. Misaligned body panels can sometimes be an indicator of prior damage. If you have a trusted shop in your area have them put it on a lift so you can check it thoroughly. Hopefully the seller has the service manual, spare keys, color matched hardtop filler covers , etc.

Haha! Sounds good Zentrose, where are you located so the CR Roll Call can be updated?

Sacramento. The car is going to be kept at a friends house for awhile though. I should be able to bring it out early 2016. Thanks.

Here is the documentation of picking up the car.

Here is how I valued the CR. A lot of them were asking for too much money.
