S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

I hope to see you local guys around more. Hopefully when my travel slows down I can attend more track days and car meets around SoCal area.
Gabe; thank you so much for helping out on Sat. It truly was a highlight for us all to be there and so happy we all made this happen. Safe travels!

Here are all of the other photos I took. I'll try to add captions where I can so the people who did not attend have an idea of what went on.

Out-of-towners arrived and stayed at this fancy Command Center on Friday

Most cars were washed and detailed (multiple times in some cases)and ready for the weekend

Another view of the hotel

Vanishing Point's beast

Steven trying to protect the floor of his trailer

Steven's trailer was used as temporary HT storage. There was unconfirmed rumor of 5 Ebay postings on Saturday of HT's for sale with free delivery between CA and TX.

Arriving at Honda Performance Development (HPD)

A lot of similar looking cars at HPD parking lot that afternoon

HPD representative giving the non-disclosure agreement speech

People drooling over HPD special project S2K, put together just for the event

- non-disclosure agreement in use -

Lunch at HPD facility

Ira giving his Thank You speech

More people checking out the HPD S2K

.... more coming

... at the track

CR's lined up at the grid

Miles and miles of CR's .... ok, maybe not, perhaps just yards

That's right, the entire track was stopped for the CR's to play by themselves

Sorry for the annoying flag in the middle, but there's a CR behind it.

... more to follow

A quick shout for the the instructors who were there on a 100% voluntary basis for the track day:

Victor (VHX1)
JJ (jj1)
David (takchi)
Ryan (rhouck)

All are regulars of the S2k challenge, and JJ is one of the S2k challenge board members

As I predicted all the photos and videos makes me regret not sucking it up and driving down in my very own worlds most expensive sweat lodge. Looks like you guys had alot of fun and saw some amazing things. Its cool to see so many CR's in the same place.

Had a great time this weekend! Enjoyed putting faces to names and seeing everyone's personal touches on their cars. I'm looking forward to future events that Ira will be putting together (nudge nudge).
