Newest CR ?
All right you knobs. First you start a forum for just CR's . Then I start seeing them more, like at Wake the Dragon 2011. Then one pops up on an obscure site 1 hour from home in Canada already. Plus its a 2009 with 296 miles and never been sold but been to three dealerships. Soooo, I have joined your group after 4 different S2000's. My 5th is a Smurf Blue CR production #, well don't know that yet. serial # ends in 102 Now wheres the track?

Congrats with your #42 CR!

That's correct 671 of 699, here is the conversion chart for determining the build numbers.

Had it 24 hrs
and doubled the mileage. Only thing I see missing is the tire pump. Had the top off first time.not too hard with wifes help. |
Just for fun. Has anyone already seen my car? You may have test drove it at David McDavids Honda in Irving TX where it was PDI'd 11/08 to 2/09 and acumulated 195 miles before being sent to Pikes Peak Acura Ltd in Colorado Springs, CO where it got run up to 256 miles. Hmmm , I wonder if it went up Pikes Peak? It was there from 02/09 to 04/09. It then went to a dealer in Kitchener ON. Canada where it got up to 296 mi from 04/09 to 06/11. So I have now rescued it from all the low mile junkies and already have run it up to 720 kms. Gasp!. Had to put some fuel in it to dilute the 2 year old stuff. It now is starting to run like it should. Guy that had it said he never got the books.. Hehe, you know where they were hiding. He also didn't know how to get the radio to work. It just says CODE. Hehe, you know where the first dealer wrote the code that was in the manual that was hiding in the car. He didn't know why the tire pressure light was on because all the tires looked good. (Added air from 30 psi to 32 psi in all 4 and the light went out, grin). He didn't really know what those blue triangular things were but luckily didn't throw them out. Lets just say he really didn't know S2000's or the uniqueness of a 2009 CR. He was all about Porsches and BMW's and thought the Honda just looked cool. Lalala I have a 2009 CR.  :rev: :burnrubr: :dance2:  :vtec: Sorry, I am kinda on an emotional fantacsy thinking that when I sold my 2006 it would take me months to find another car. 3 days and one hour from home. Feel like I won the lottery.

I think you did with this low mileage beast.
Trade? :p |
It's hard to believe the dealer (Honda?) was so dumb regarding the car, or was this car sent to a non Honda dealer when you bought it? :ponder:
|
That's a great, great find. Congratulations!

Oh, and to get that car to Canada you gotta really fight with the dealer plus the border Duty for jap scrap tax and shipping . Man, thats $52,306 pre tax. at 13% for us canucks that is $59,105.78. Wonder why they didn't sell them in Canada? |

You guys scooped me! I was going to do a separate thread on that car -- it's #699 of 699 CRs, and the last USDM S2000 ever produced!
I actually inquired recently about the car via email, and they were kind enough to reply. Bottom line: it's being kept by the dealership's owners as "a museum car" and is not for sale. :) |
Made it up to 600 miles this week. As per the owners manual, now the fun begins. I love the solid green light. Its like a video game. SCORE! Lol
