Your origional question made it sound like you wanted to use CR A-arms and the rest of the CR suspension on your AP1, which is why you didn't get many responses.
CR Springs and Dampers are interchangeable on an AP1.
Honda recommends you replace the bolts that hold the dampers every time you remove them.
Honda Part Number 90174-S2A-000 BOLT, FLANGE (12X85)
I didn't buy them in advance and by the time I saw that in the service manual it was to late. I just reused the old ones, which were like new on my car anyway. Other than that should be no special parts.
When you remove the rears they will kick down a little, and can be hard to remove. You can use a spring compressor, or just have someone push down on the wheel hub, while you remove the rear shock assemblies (See the different Coilover DIYs for help).

I'm also wondering if someone can point me in the direction of a DIY for swapping on my CR suspension to the AP2.
