S2000 CR Club Racer Edition CR stands for "club racer," conjuring up the good old days when guys drove their sports cars to the track, raced them, and then, if the racing gods were smiling, drove them home again

Since he was older, I figured he wasn't the forum type.
So does 66 (67 in 9 days) qualify as older and not the forum type? . Careful with the stereotypes there, young man.
Sorry about that, I got nothing against the vintage crowd. An older S2000 racer (60's as well) was part of my inspiration to get my first S2000 and has been a great help to me on and off the boards. I'll be more careful with the stereotypes though. I just see more younger kids get active on the forums than the vintage crowd. I also figure if you've been in car scene a while you know that the boards exist and you're either on them or choose not to be. The kids are the ones that need some direction.

There are quite a few of us vintage types on various forums, including the CR's.

Old pharts rule! . I still make 7 to 10 S2000 events a year. Wake The Dragon 9 was in April, Spring Fling '11 is next, TomCatt after that, Dragon Ball XI in September. I don't have time to be old.

Cool, I'm actually moving to Seattle at the end of June and will be looking for a CR. I was planning on buying one in California and driving it up, but it's cool that there are some local ones.
Nice hit me up when you get here. Good luck in your search there are two for sale around here that I know of one in Oregon (black) and one Apex Blue at a Seattle dealer. About a year ago there was a gpw for sale in spokane for $25,000 I really regret not picking that up.
If it's the one with 11K miles that's at Larson Cadillac in Fife, be aware that the seats were stolen out of it, there are tons of deep scratches in the paint and sill from it and the dealership replaced the seats with standard S2K seats - not the CR ones. Other than that, it's pretty clean but they have it stickered at $35K and wouldn't go below $31,500 when I was negotiating with them. I even went up to $29K on it because I want ABP really badly, but they wouldn't budge below $31,500. CarFax was clean supposedly... but the original seats were obviously stolen and the salespeople were not honest about it but admitted they had to replace the $$$ seats which is why they couldn't go below $31,500.

LOL yep thats exactly what happens to me quite frequently. Plus its a fact that the yellow CR is the fastest (yellow adds at least 3hp and .003 lb of torque)

I ran into another CR owner (Rio as well )on Facebook last night. Complemented his car, and suggest he check out our forum; his response;
"naw i'm actually not to big a fan of s2ki haha I just really wana drift and I just chill with the s2k and daily it"

Too bad, there's not a lot of us, would be nice to get everyone on here. I'm not sure if an s2000 is a good choice if you want to drift....

Lol if you wanted a Honda "drift" car you would think you would choose a tail happy AP1 and not a CR which last time I checked was designed to stick to the road as much as possible.
